10:10 amJunior Girls and Y7/8 Girls start.

Competition levels

All runners run the Standard grade for their (long event) class — except Legs 1 and 3 of the Junior Boys and Girls, who run their Championship grade.

  • Senior Boys/Girls: Orange
  • Intermediate Boys/Girls: Yellow
  • Junior Boys/Girls: Yellow/White (see above)
  • Yr 7 & 8 Boys/Girls: White

Teams

“Official teams” consist of 3 students, according to the Special Rules for New Zealand Secondary Schools Orienteering Championships (see www.orienteering.org.nz/resources/rules).

Location

Palmerston North. Park and farm area near the Massey University campus. Generally flat with a few hills to contend with for the longer courses.

Attempts to gain any information related to the courses, beyond that provided by the organiser, is forbidden before and during the competition.
